For the past several months, I’ve been creating SYNTHEOSYS, a hopeful science-fiction story developed for the Future Vision XPRIZE.
It follows Kai, a young woman raised in a community that rejected AI, as she crosses into a technology-integrated city she has been taught to fear. What she encounters challenges the stories each world tells about the other—and asks whether understanding can create something greater than choosing sides.
